To all of our families looking for summer day camp spots:
We will be running a summer day camp this year! The camp will begin on Monday, July 12th and will run through Friday, September 3rd. Drop off time will be at 10:00 AM from Monday - Friday, and pickup time will be no later than 4:00 PM daily. Please Note: Staff will not be on site early, should you bring your child before 10:00 AM. If you do drop your child off early, they will not be attended in any way, nor have any access to the facility. Just like last year, all parents must sign their children in and our every day.
However, as you may be aware, the Province of Manitoba has changed how day camps can work for this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. Some of the changes are as follows:
- We are limited to no more than 20 spaces in the camp.
- Children must be between the ages of 6 and 11. Unfortunately, 12 year olds may not attend the camp this year.
- Children may not hold an active slot or placement in any form of day care or daytime child care. This includes independent day cares, school run daycares, and home daycares. The Province intends for daycamps to be an alternative option for working parents unable to access childcare for their children.
There is also a change to the application process that parents should be aware of. Applications will not be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The spaces for our day camp will be decided based on the need of the family.
We know that this is not normally how we run our day camp. That said, given the choice between running the day camp in this fashion or not running it at all, the choice seemed clear to us.
To apply for the camp, the application form attached to this post must be filled out and emailed to spcc_daycamp@outlook.com. We can accept documents that are filled out digitally, printed and scanned, or printed and photographed. As we are not in the office right now, we cannot accept in-person registrations or phone registrations. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We will leave registrations open until Wednesday, July 7th. All families who are accepted into the daycamp will hear from us no later than Thursday, July 8th. Parents will have twenty four hours to respond to the email before the space is passed on to the next child. We apologize that we must conduct registrations this way.
