Spring Break Open Gym Hours

We have had multiple requests for us to post the Open Gym hours for Spring Break, 2023. Please remember that the rules for Open Gym apply to spring break, as well. We also want parents to be aware of the following rules for Spring Break. These rules are in addition to our standard Open Gym rules (no outdoor shoes in the gym, no food or drinks in the gym, etc.)

  1. All children under the age of 12 must be supervised by a parent, or guardian over the age of 18, at all times. Parents cannot drop off their children and leave them. They must remain in the same room as children under the age of 12. If parents are dropping their older children off, please ensure that the child brings their student ID card with them. Children without ID cards will not be able to stay without a parent present. Please remember that Open Gym is not restricted to any specific age, so there will be children playing with adults.

  2. Our staff are not babysitters. Their job is to supervise the facility, and not your children. If you drop your older children off, our staff will not be watching them. If you child chooses to leave the facility, our staff will not stop them. We will absolutely help a child if they are injured or require assistance, but we are not providing a childcare service. Please ensure that your children have a way to contact you in case of an emergency.

  3. The Sinclair Park phone line is our business line. We cannot accept regular phone calls from parents wanting to check on their children. We ask that you please call your child's cellular phone. While we are happy to help in an emergency, our staff are not responsible for making sure that your child checks in with you.

  4. Open Gym does not run all day, every day. There are days where we do not have Open Gym, and it always ends prior to the end of a standard work day. Once the gym is closed, we do have private groups utilizing the space. Nobody will be allowed to remain at Sinclair Park after Open Gym ends, including your children. It is the parent's responsibility to ensure that their child has a way to get home at the end of Open Gym.

  5. Our canteen will be open, but it is CASH ONLY. We do not accept debit or credit payments at the canteen. If you wish for your child to be able to purchase food, please send them with the funds to do so.

We will be open at the following times for Open Gym. These are the ONLY hours that we will be open for.

- Monday, March 27th from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

- Tuesday, March 28th from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

- Wednesday, March 29th from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

- Thursday, March 30th - NO OPEN GYM

- Friday, March 31st from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Again, those are the ONLY hours that we have Open Gym over the Spring Break week. As always, we do not offer Open Gym on Saturdays or Sundays, nor do we offer Open Gym in the evenings. We hope to see everyone out at Open Gym, but please make sure that you and your children are aware of the rules for using the space. Thank you,

~SPCC
